Let's meet Christoph, Field Manager at Just Worldwide Germany.

Team Spotlight - Christoph (Germany)

Tell us about your journey in market research so far and your role at Just Worldwide

I have 20 years of experience in market research, which began in 2002 in a Berlin studio. I have worked in recruitment, customer support and project management in many areas, consumer and healthcare, and have been able to gain important experience.

As Field Manager at Just Worldwide I am responsible for Germany / DACH region, assessing feasibility, managing projects and the local team. As the first point of contact, our team ensures that the studies are carried out successfully. I see myself as the link that keeps the fieldwork together, from conception to conclusion, in order to be able to present our clients with the best possible results at the end.

What sets Just Worldwide apart from other fieldwork agencies?

Just Worldwide have an ability to think outside the box and not take its own boundaries for granted and that really sets us apart.

We think globally and operate locally, we act "glocally". We have local presence, including in Germany, and that makes us experts in the markets we work in. We can localise country-specific challenges and complications right from the start of a study and present appropriate market specific solutions. In doing so, we see the bigger picture and benefit from our global expertise. Our global scope enables us to utilise synergy effects and bring together the expertise and experience of many people, which ultimately benefits our clients,  our projects and our outcomes.

People play a central role here. At JWW, values such as respect for other cultures are particularly important. The collegial interaction with one another also connects people across borders. This respect for one another makes it possible for us to take off our blinkers and break new ground.

Tell us about a Just Worldwide project you are especially proud of?

I am proud that we are giving a voice to patients who may not otherwise be heard. In the past few years, I have had so many wonderful experiences with many patients with various rare diseases, including NSCLC, DLBCL, MM, mBC, NHL (each stage IV), MPS-II, IC-MPGN, ITP, Netherton and MOGAD amongst others.

I have realised that these people are true heroes: Everyday life can be terribly difficult, coping with physical and psychological pressure is a real challenge. Nevertheless, they have shown me that it is worth fighting for something, how important it is to listen to each other and to see life as worthy of respect. They take life as it is and we can learn a lesson from this.

As part of JWW, I am so proud to contribute to giving patients the opportunity to be part of the solution. We can play a part in providing help for rare diseases as soon as possible through current research. This fills me with joy and motivates me anew every day.

How do you solve challenges in your role?

My favourite London Underground saying has it completely right - See it, say it, sort it!

See it: Keep an overview, focus on the essentials and stay calm. Say it: Communicate with everyone involved, work together and help each other. Sort it: Offer solutions and an action plan. Be present, be invested.

How do you like to spend your spare time?

In my free time, I like going to the theatre or a classical concert, picking up an exciting book or meeting up with friends.
